We eagerly want those of you at home to check out our Short KOL Docent Video series! On behalf of the Museum, we hope that you have a concise and easily accessible introduction of the Museum exhibits. We want to be your online docent, guiding you to appreciate Buddhist art's resplendence.
 
June – Transient Moments, Cherished Memories
This sculpture belonged to Mahākāśyapa, one of the ten principal disciples of Śākyamuni, who was deemed the foremost in ascetic dhūta practice. After the Buddha entered parinirvāṇa, Mahākāśyapa became the head of the monastic community and convened the First Council at Rājagṛha for compiling Buddhist canon.
