Museum: Its History and Social Responsibility

2020-04-19
Ever wondered how the modern Museum came to be? Through an engaging dialogue between Sebastien and Sunny, this lecture explores how this ancient centre of knowledge transformed from catering specific audiences to the modern sense as an oracle of public knowledge, with diversified audiences and a profound dialogue between the curator, educator and audience. As the Museum’s role developed, the more responsibilities it plays for the public and its exhibits. It is no longer simply a centre of knowledge, but a platform that safeguards critical Museum exhibits from war-torn countries and change audience’s pre-conceptions of the world.
